Hernia solutions

The company VUP Medical is following the recommendations of E.H.S, the European Hernia Society. It is an international professional society of physicians and scientists concerned with the study of abdominal hernias and other diseases of the abdominal wall. This organisation highly recommends using a mesh for hernia treatment. When using a mesh, the open or endoscopic technique is effective and practically painless. It allows the patient to resume unrestricted activities soon after the operation.

VUP hernia meshes help in Benin for the second time

VUP Medical contributed to the success of a charity mission in Benin by supplying the hernia meshes PP Mesh in order to provide good care to the needy patients. We have supported this mission for the second year already.
The charity mission of the Czech surgeons was organised by the Society of Friends Bénin Santé, in the frame of the project “Doctors for Benin”.
The mission took place in the Clinique les Archanges a Agbladfandan in Benin since 9th  till 20th April 2018. In the mentioned period, there were 2 Czech surgeons who operated tens of patients including  children. All together, there were more than 40 operations carried out – (most of them were hernia operations) in patients of age of 18 months to 70 years.
We are glad we were able to help to so many people in need.

What we treat?

hernia is the protrusion of an organ or the fascia of an organ through the wall of the cavity that normally contains it. There are different kinds of hernia, each requiring a specific management or treatment. Usually the muscular layer of the abdominal wall is sufficiently strong and rigid to hold the organs in place within the abdominal cavity, but sometimes it is not - in which case there is a hernia. We can also say that a hernia occurs when there is a mismatch between the strength of the abdominal wall and the size of intra-abdominal pressure.
